Jerry Bailey, Director

Jerry grew up in Cambridge, Wisconsin.  He earned a Bachelors degree in Zoology and Wildlife Science, and a Masters degree in Latin American Government, History and Anthropology.  He spent a total of 24 years in service in Army Special Forces (the Green Berets), Airborne Rangers, Navy Special Warfare.  He served as Commander of Riverine Combat Craft, commanded an Infantry Rifle, and Fast Attack Platoon, an Airborne Ranger Platoon, a Special Forces A-Team, a Special Forces Company, served as a Special Forces weapons, tactics, and survival (SERE-C) instructor, and lastly as the Director for Latin American Graduate Studies at the John F. Kennedy Special Warfare Center and School.

Since retiring, he has been active in his consulting company, Viking Consulting, which conducts training programs and consulting for the U.S. Government and the private sector, mainly in the areas of counter-terrorism and counter-narcotics programs to military Special Operations, Foreign Intelligence, and civil police agencies.  Jerry has professional experience in 42 foreign nations having served both in operations training missions.

Bill Dirkes, Director

Bill Dirkes is a successful businessman and owner of the famous “Sunshine Station” in Philipsburg, Montana.  Bill is a member of the Philipsburg Rotary Club and current President of the Philipsburg Chamber of Commerce.  He has served in several capacities in his support of the community including, but not limited to, Volleyball Coach, Hospital Board Member, Volunteer Paramedic, Volunteer Firefighter…just to name a few.  We rely on Bill to guide us in making sound decisions for the ultimate successes of the Grid Defender project.


Dale B. Hallig

Dale B Halling, Director

Mr. Halling is a patent attorney specializing in high technology companies, from start-ups to Fortune 500 companies.  Mr. Halling is the author of “Decline and Fall of the American Entrepreneur”, “Pendulum of Justice” and other informative and educational media tools.  He was admitted to bar: Missouri, 1993; Illinois, 1993; Colorado, 1995; registered to practice before U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.  Kansas State University (BSEE, 1982); University of Texas at Dallas (MS Physics, 1984); St. Louis University (J.D. cum laude, 1992).


DR_LANFORD

Dr. Bob Lanford, Vice President

Dr. Bob Lanford is retired from Auburn University but holds adjunct professorships with Auburn and Clemson Universities.  His work in forest engineering resulted in many popular referenced publications.  He has consulted with a number of companies and taught continuing education classes for over 20 years.  He is a veteran of the United States Army and recipient of a Bronze Star.  His specialty is the analysis of business from the basics of assembly line productivity to cost of the financial aspects for the company formulation.  He has developed two different manufacturing facilities during his career and consultes with other companies.  Dr. Lanford is assisting Mr. Bell in his efforts to bring the Grid Defender® to commercialization.
